i am going to swap my motor in my car.
i have an 1990 rs teg auto.
my question is can i put an engine from a 5-speed in my car.
i heard the bell housing is different.
if this is not the only difference please tell me.
i am not going to sell my car so please don’t suggest it i just want to know if i could do this kind of swap.
you’d have to either take your current auto tranny and put it on the engine you’re putting in (that’s only if its an identical engine) or you’d have to get a whole new tranny.
Just get a 5spd tranny and swap it over. Many on here have done so.
yes it will work, they are the same, you will have now problem.
As far as doing the 5 speed swap, won’t adding the clutch assembly, cable, shift linkage, etc. be a biztch?
