Sorry … Kyle put your thoughts here and we can discuss it.
Kyle, I still don’t see where you’ve HEARD terrible things about the Z10 on a DA or any chassis??(LINKS???) If you have nothing to back what your talking about then quit spreading rumors. I have the Z10 traction bar along with others on this site, and have had the placeracing and innovative mounts one too. out of them all, the Z10 is far superior then the 2 listed. Full-race and ESP are great.
is your ESP traction bar better than your full-race and on what chassis are you using it?
Sorry to thread jack, this thread wasn’t about how kyle heard bad things about Z10, or about Z10 period. if you want, Kyle put your thoughts here and we can discuss it.
i’ve heard it from friends in real life. ya know, real people outside of the internet. so unfortunately i can’t give you internet links. I’m not spreading any romours. i never suggested that i have personal experience with the Z10 bar. i chose not to get it because of other peoples experiences that i’ve heard about, thats all.
the full-race bar is probably better then the ESP bar that i got. but for the money, the ESP bar is definately worth it. i’m happy with it.
i’ve never heard of any bad reviews of the z10 bar for da’s. only bad things i have heard was a few years back for the eg/dc. just that the tires would rub on the radius rods, while turning or something but that was a long time ago. but ya, i never heard anything bad about the z10 xmember for da’s
ok guys enough. this isn’t a review on the z10 bars.
Iceman, what do you plan on doing with the front mount? I kind of like the way they had that adjustable mount. any pics of what’s to come or any under the car LCA pics to see???PLEEEEEEEEEASE!!!:gotpics:
well the hytech replica header went in last weekend, and this saturday we have a huge meet here in ks. so what i’ll do is the morning of, i’ll take some under shots fro you. we finished the mount, but we decided to modify their design. most of the companies use two bushing insert rod ends, one right and one left threaded, through a dual threaded hex sleeve. this way it can be adjusted by using a wrench. what i decided to do was make a mount that bolts to BOTH factory mounting points, and had a center mounted rod end. that is threaded into a (much thicker) sleeve, which I made a T from and secured with grade 8 bolts and ny locks. now i have some adjust ability but i have to unbolt the top to turn the rod end. i don’t mind b/c it’ll remain stiff for competition mostly. it’s crazy what the car does now. just rips the tires from a dead stop all through 1st and at least half of second, wiht a nice nice nice third gear scratch and a 4th gear jerk. it’s a totally different animal being that it’s got traction, is putting more of it’s usable power to the ground, and is making some more noticeable torque. im very excited about the dyno.
