extra for holding chargepipe together

currently, im running my setup with abs piping (plastic) and metal piping. and since there is no lip on the plastic piping, doesnt happen much, but when it does, when i boost hard at high speeds, my chargepiping seperates. but i’ve seen pictures of people’s setup, where they have a nut welded onto the metal, and a bolt + nut holding it together where the pipe coupler is as a backup to keep them together. i wont be able to afford piping with the backup lip thing (forgot what it is called) but i was wondering if anyone knew of anyway to hold them together safely.

i was thinking about the same method as the welding a nut onto the pipe, but since it is plastic, i thought about an eyelet hook. the ring with a bolt on it. and drill a small hole, seal it, and hold it on by a nut… but then if the nut somehow got loose, then things would go all wrong…

another method, ugly, but i would think it would work, is to use hose clamps, a large one to go around the pipe, and a smaller one wrapped around it, holding onto a nut, and the large clamp. (the kinds that you tighten up with a flathead screwdriver, or a 8mm socket) and as long as that is tight onto the piping, maybe layer some ABS glue over the clamp and pipe, and as the theory of the first idea, use a bolt and nut to hold them together…

so i was wondering, what do you guys think?

other then that, im still looking around for cheap charge piping…

nice pic looks real clean .

yea, it is nice… it’s not mine though, that’s what i want to copy…

If your using plastic pipes or PVC pipes the best way i found in the past was to use a little laundry detergent on the coupler, when it dries it is almost like glue but not not as hard as glue so you can still take it apart with some effort if you have to.
