Factory radio size question

Im looking to swap a newer honda stereo into my teg. Is the stock one a conventional size (ie 1 DIN) or something a bit more unique? Would a cd player such as this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-04-HONDA-ODYSSEY-99-00-CIVIC-CD-PLAYER-CODE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ38641QQihZ008QQitemZ180004678058QQrdZ1 swap in without any problems with fitament (or at least no problems if I use a “dash kit” to install it)?

Sorry for the noob questions.

it will fit
most to all single cd players from honda/acura fit
its just wiring thats needed

Both your g2 and the HU your looking at are “1 DIN” and as soontobe2ndGEN mentions, the wiring/plugs are different, and also the way the HU is mounted is diff., your HU uses 2 machine screws up through a bracket, [rear support bracket] into a “lip” on the back of the HU to keep it in the dash… http://www.auctiva.com/hostedimages/showimage.aspx?gid=38142&image=14929601&images=14929600,14929601&formats=0,0&format=0

The CD HU you are looking at is an “ISO” mount, [2 machine screws through a bracket into each side of the HU.

If your HU has a removable “lip”, like the one I link you may be able to transfer it to the new HU, [with some mods] or you will have to make something, as for the wiring, that’s not a problem, just get there 2 adapter harnesses… http://www.scosche.com/scosche_caraudio.aspx?CategoryID=78&ItemID=HA02B for your car, and… http://www.scosche.com/scosche_caraudio.aspx?CategoryID=44&ItemID=HA08RB for the back of the new HU, then just connect them together and it’s plug and play.:sipread:94

I have a Honda cd HU out of a 94 I think accord. Had it in my 95 Sol and is now in my 91 LS. Only issue I have is that this tab

Doesn’t go far enough back on the lip under the dash. For the moment I have it zip tied
