Fan Blower switch issue.

I have a simple question about a problem with the interior fan blower control knob.
The first two speeds settings and the fan does not blow ANY air. The second two speed settings and the fan blows fine. What would be main reason the first 2 speed settings don’t work but the second two work just fine? Is it likely to be the control knob, or could it be in the fan blower circuit itself? What is the proper procedure for diagnosis? Pictures would be nice if you have any.

Thanks for the advice.

I agree fan blower resistor pack. In the blower ductwork, you’ll see a small rectangular thing with a connector going to it. 2 screws to remove it. Has 3 coil looking things in the path of the air.

Put up a WTB. I sold one for $5 from a car I was stripping for parts I needed.

jack

I have 2 FS
but i fixed my own when i had this problem by soldering it

Thanks for the help. I will replace this when I get some more cash.
I will report back when done.

i would remove the glove box while doing this.:stare:

no need… a stubby screwdriver should get it out with no problems…
