thats a huge notch for the motor is that beacuse of the balance shaft or would you still have to do that without the balance shafts to? how was ground clearance with the h2b?
Thanks man! Whats your name? Sorry, I met a lot of people that day and I’m just generally not good at remembering names.
Good god very impressive DA man.
I bet u spend a damn fortune building it.
I don’t even try to calculate how much I’ve spent. Just like any hobby, it gets expensive but the pay off is well worth it.
Glad to hear that your mom survived. I hope she gets better, my prayers go out to her. When you go through such a dramatic experience, it gives you a new perspective on life. “Tomorrow is never promised so live for today” Good luck with your build.
It’s aight, nothing special. How you doing man? you pass your test? hit me up sometime, I lost all my contacts.
That’s what I did when I saw your build and realized that you were a girl, cute one too! :shy: I saw you post a thread about sema awhile back. Only if I saw it sooner, we could of met up. I was there!
Really nice car sir.
Do you have any more pic of the exhaust clearance under the car? What diameter?
Thanks
No, sorry I don’t. Lets just say that I sometimes break reflectors on the freeway when switching lanes. Honestly the car may look nice at that height but I can’t enjoy it as much. That’s why the plan this year is to get higher offset wheels and raise it.
Thanks. I always find it cool whenever I see any DA get recognized or even in the background on a commercial lol
Thanks man! I’m a fan of both your DA’s I would choose yours over mines any day!
It’s nice to have good people support you even if it’s just words of encouragement. It’s a hobby so I only work on it on my spare time. It being what I love, I can wrench all night and because I’m a night owl.
The notch is big due to the balancing shafts but you can eliminate them and move the crank pulley in 1/2’‘. The ground clearance is not that bad as long as your not as low as i am. Kaizen Speed makes a custom oil pan that will sit 1.75’’ higher than the stock H. Reference, slightly higher than the full race traction bar. Unfortunately, they are not making them at the moment so I’m going to try and mod the factory pan.
Thank you all for the kind words.
I just sent the $200 to schedule my test date. So soon!
but i lost your # too. you got facebook?
Do you know where dipped-parts is located (just a run out of house maybe)? I tried contacting them, and they were super slow to respond (about 2-3 weeks) when he finally did he didn’t say much, answered like half of the questions. Sick ass car.
ejay you coming to weakfest this year if so let me know maybe well get both cars together
sick car! glad to hear you’re going to make it more functional. a car like that is made to be driven!!

Thanks man she is doing great now even after fighting the bird flu on top of the stent they put in one of here by passes. My build is going great even though it is below zero and you got me in your corner pushin for your build to go tru without stressing to the point of break. I almost broke finding a snow drift 6 foot high in front of the shop but we made it threw. God bless and good luck with the build
Dee A Nine- good luck on your test.
DA JeLLie- whats your email?
That’s the plan! I hope I get to finish the car in time. :uhoh:
Thanks. I build my cars to drive!
:shy: thank you.

yea, but was only supposed to be there for 2 lol. Email me, I got something to ask you about SEMA
Oh… I remember now. Did you buy a spot for eibach already? I give you guys props for making the drive. How many hours does it take you to get down here?
When times get rough, just take a break and relax. The car will be there when your ready. One thing you don’t want to do is rush the build.
Update.
I got the head back on but not the built one Long story short, I decided that I want to build a block so I put the stock head back on. I took it off for nothing  Now when the block is done and I put it together with the built head, I will have a spare stock motor I didn’t want to rush building it so I’ll start on it after WekFest
I put the stock head back on last night and just finished dropping in the motor. I hope to finish the motor and be able to fire it up by tomorrow. Only parts that I’m waiting on now is a new oil pick up gasket and oil pan gasket. I’ll try to post some pics of the progress sometime this weekend.
I hope everything goes off without a hitch. WekFest is in a week :worry:

Very nice DA. quick question about the h23 block, Whatever happened to it? and Why didnt you bore it out and get new pistons being it was Darton sleeved?
Fun thread to follow!
J.
Wow, is that a Team Kosoku sticker I see on your windshield? I haven’t seen one of those since the 90s
I Havent yet, my cars in worse shape then the 4dr eg we drove there haha, but we are all showing up down there i think so far we have 12 cars driving down? we will see if the da is in good enough shape to make it, needs a tune and a paint job before ill even think about trying to show down in cali haha, but it took us around 20 hours driving the single cam there i think, so maybe this year it will be a little quicker
Ejay, Damn man I didnt realize that I sold my Motor to Such a Heavy Hitter. lol. I’m for sure gonna pick up that issue of HT and show my wife that your the guy I sold it to. lol. Well good luck with the rebuild. Its a factory sealed motor, so once you crack it open, you’ll be taking its virginity. Keep up the good work man. Post more pics!!
Eric.
Thanks for sharing bro! Car came our great. I loved seeing it in Honda Tuning. I’ll really glad that you decided to post here. I always think of G2ic as a very different Forum. More of a family. I would like to see the people who are still interested in DA’s sharing more of their builds because it seems like there’s not that many left.
Good job on the ride. It’s very clear to me that you envisioned your own style and followed it instead of copying anyone. I think that’s one thing that sets your build apart.
