How hard or should I say how costly would it be to retro-fit a G3 Drag 2 Turbo to our G2s. I can get a full Drag 2 kit for the G3 for about $1800 and would the difference in cost justify buying the kit and just making it fit in my Teg? I guess what I’m saying is would I save any money at all if I follow this route or would it be better off to just get the G2 kit in the first place?
BTW Can I still keep my AC if I install the Drag II Turbo?
I havn’t seeing the G3 kit so I can’t say for sure but I’d imagine you’d have to buy a manifold for your motor (so that the manifold fits and so that the turbo is positioned corectly relitive to the engine and radiator). You would also probably have to make some modifications to the intake/intercooler pipe since it’s not made with a G2’s engine bay in mind. You might need to relocate the BOV flange as it might not be in the best of locations.
the manifold from the g3 will be fine for a g2. It’s the piping that needs to be modifed.
