ok, in the teg tips for foglight rewiring, it says to connect the fog switch to the defogger switch. so does that mean the fog and the defogger will always be on together? and to pull the switches out, do i just pry them out with a screwdriver?
When you rewire the fog light you are just splicing the power to the fog lights into the defroster power since the defroster power is hot whenever the ignition is on. The defroster will work normally and the only difference is you can turn on the fog lights whenever you want. When i took off the foglight and defroster switches i used two small straight screw drivers to pry them out just be careful.
ao basically can u tell me how did u rewire ur 1 peace headlights fogs, so u can turn em off and off whenever u want?
thnx

Here’s my rewired fogs, and yes youcan use a screwdriver to prythe switches off. The easiest way though is to pop off the defogger then simply push the fog switch out from the back with your fingers.
no no. i ment to rewire them on their own. i dun want to connect them to the defrog switch. i just want them to turn on and off whenever i want. wothout the defrgo switch.
if u know how to do it. lemme know
thnx
Your just “tapping” into the 12v constant lead. NOTHING changes, everything works how it suposed to, except you can turn the fogs on or off regardless of the “headlight” posistion. You could wire the red/yellow wire to a 12v from the batt buts it’s the same thing.
since you know how to do that foglight switching thingy, then do you know how to connect the wires from the bumperlights into the parking lights…so whenever I turn the parklight the bumper lights stays on with it???
its not recommended, since it will prolly melt ur lenses (unless u have aftermarket, and even some of those melt)… but if u wanna go ahead with it, there is a follow up articles somewhere around here.

yep, what he said. i melted mine before when it was constant on. only way around is to use dual filament sockets.
back to the topic. it would be pretty interesting if someone could figure out how to have the fog lights turn on when you turn on your car, and then turn off when you switch on your headlights. kinda like daytime driving lights that switch off at night when you turn on your headlights basically.
I put blue bulbs in my fog lights but they come out white? Does anyone know why it does that?
Thanks
Steve
oops
dated!
so the car has to be running in order for this to work or the key tuned enough so its running the radio, clock, and fan etc.
yep.
Just think of it this way… if you cant roll up/down your windows… they wont turn on…
i love those fog lights now that i rewired them
can’t wait to get the yellow PIAA h3’s

you can just use the legend’s fogs if you can find one in a junkyard… see the teg tip
