For those who changed their clutch...

Did you guys change just the clutch disk? or did you change your pressure plate, release bearing and so forth??? I’m thinking about doing my clutch soon and I wanna get the parts before hand…

Why wouldn’t you change all those parts? The pressure plate, disc, and throwout bearing are all wear and tear parts. A clutch swap is a bitch of a job if you do it yourself and expensive at a shop. Believe me, you don’t want to drop the tranny any more than you have to. Besides, most clutches come in kits that include all those parts anyways.

Tsou

ACT

yeah changing those parts are the most important parts…the thing is i have a ACT heavy duty and when its time for me to change out the disc i will just but the new disc 90 bucks and the throwout and release bearings…next time im going to put in this new chromoly flywheel my tuner shop has…its 8 lbs…for $350…well i have alot of life in my clutch so this will be in a while tho…if u need a act i can hook u up…

yeah,

You need all those parts…I brought mine to a shop, costed me $300 Installation and thats a decent hookup…

Got a ACT ExtremePressur Plate, with a Nippon disc, Stiff but the Nippon disc makes it streetable…peace

ACT Extreme PP, ACT Hybrid Extreme Cluth Disc, ACT Throwout and Release Bearings… pulled third gear scratches all day long… and Mr. VR knows it… =P

haahhha

I hit third gear scratches all day long, but when I put new rubber on my wheels, Im gripping to hard…Once they get bald however, 3rd gear scratches here I come…

About the flywheel, I’d say 8 lbs is a bit too light. 10 lbs will be nice.
