Just got the teg out on the road after ummmm 3(?) yrs in the garage. The left front wheel is making a screeching noise. I checked the brakes seem to be OK, nothing rubbing on the wheel that I can see. Maybe bearings??? Anyone have a better clue than me? I want to fix this before selling her…
it sounds like it could be your wheel bearing. have you ever hit a curb or big pothole? sometimes the bearing will make brinell marks if it gets pushed in to far. if you replaced them at any point they aren’t suppose to have any preload on them. have you looked at the wheel bearing seals also? if the car sat for 3 years, they possibly could have dry rotted and dried the grease out or let foreign material in when you drove it maybe im not sure
Well the car had that issue prior to placing in storage. I thought it was the brakes and have swapped out the caliper for a another, then I did all the brakes/rotors/bleed. I might have to take to someone to do, I have no time to wrench on it myself
Thanks for the reply…
