Looks good. Can’t wait to see it with carpet, seats, and the rest of the dash pieces in there.
yea i dont feel safe with the auto-seat belt that rolls back and forth when u open and close the door… i’m putting my gen 3 teg seats belts in there also… for me to put em in i need to drill the seat belt holes right?? everything is gonna be custom…
Have an update? I too would like to see how it turns out. If everything works and looks good, might be cheaper to do that instead of gettin a new stock interior.
read about some of the canadian seatbelt swaps. All I know is that I wouldnt be rocking seatbelts werent secured properly. Im not saying not to use the g3 seatbelts, but to make it safe you are going to have to do a good bit of welding.
darin…instead of welding do u think or know if i can just make a tread for the seat belt??? i was going that way instead of welding…no pics on the interior yet still messing with my engine…it’s hard to work on a car when u live an hour away from the shop and the parts are an hour away from ur home ya noe…but i saw this article on team integra where i can order my carpets from for hella cheap…i’ll post pics when i have completed more…
You WILL need to have some kinda of plates with the nut welded to it to mount the seatbelt brackets to the floor/body. What I did for my CDN seatbelts was got some 2.5-3" thick washers, high grade nuts. And the nuts fit perfectly into the holes of the washers I recall, or we drilled them out. Then we welded the nut flush to the washer. Drilled holes in the floor so the nut was recessed into the hole. Then welded the washer to the body. That left us with a flush mounting point, not a nut sticking up. For the pillar mount, we weled the nut/washer to the piller but with the nut sticking out. Also tapped the existing hole after we welded the new one up so there was extra threads.
pix with doors shut would be cool. why did you keep the srs harness on under your dash? did you run the srs donut thing under the steering wheel too?
JDM1nt2B= pics would help a whole lot… i hear wut ur saying, i just to see wut ur talkin bout… krazieteggie= srs is plugged…every single wire from my gen 3 teg has been swapped and plugged…i’m jus a lil worried about my door panels… ppl from team integra sed they arent gonna fit… but i’mm try my best to get em in and look koo.any ideas would help…
sorry I didn’t get any pics when we installed them and I have my interior in and don’t plan on taking anything out anytime soon to get pics. sorry.
thats pretty sweet looking. hows the fitment exactly? and what all custom kinda stuff did you have to do?
it fits kinda good…u just need too weld a bracket under the clock…tryna get my door panles to fit…havent tried yet though
try pulling back the vinyl on the g2 door panels, then reshape the area where dash meets door and glue the vinyl back down.
dat rite derr is one crazy idea…simple and crazy
92 civic guys with dc dash conversions do it. there are a couple threads on h-t with actual pix.
that should give you a decent idea…
JDM1nt2B said it right
ugggh right on darin d…thanx fo da pics…i’ll get to it after i plug up everything in the engine bay…
bump for updates
i still havent put on my seat belts yet… currently stuck on a situation at the moment…if anyone can help it would be great… my problem is that first my fuel pump wasnt working…then i ghetto rigged it and got it working… my aem fuel shows that there is pressure so yea…then the fuel pump relay, i got that working also… now when i crank the engine it wo nt start…the person that i’m working it on says my injectors arent pulsing or something…it’s a 2000 gsr swap including the wire harness swap into a 90 teg…can anyone help?
Are you running OBD 1 or 0? do you still have the injector box under the hood?
it’s actually obdII…i have a aem fuel rail and the gas pressure is at around 40-42 in between there and my gas gauge on the cluster is working just fine…i’m thinking the injecters arent shooting gas… my main relay is working also…everything is in working condition except my engine aint getting gas…
