I’ve gotta 91 integra Ls 5 speed. Just recently my check engine light came on after I put it to the floor and the car was in third gear and It was almost to redline and I downshifted to 2 gear on accident. I felt my car practically stalled and very loud. But it went back to normal after I popped it into 4th gear allthe way until I got off the highway and stopped. My car started to spit and sputter and then the check engine light came on and it grabbed a hold of itself. I’ve got a code 4 “crank angle” and now I can’t even rev past 3200 rpms. Have any of you guys seen anything like this. Any help is very appreciated. I checked the code out and tested the crank angle sensor with a flow chart. Please help.
sounds like u might have jumped a tooth on your cam gears… over rev’d the car that might have made the timing belt jump… …remove valve cover and line up cam gears to see if they are in proper alignment …
maybe also a burnt valve or a dropped valve all caused by over–revving …

Sounds like u spun the crank angle sensor in your distributor…might have to get a whole new distributor housing.
