Getting ECU Code #9

before any of you smart asses tell me to search I did. 9 is too small of a word to search for. I did however find a couple of posts regarding code #9 but nobody had replied to any of them.

I already know what the manual says the code is. But don’t know what to do about it.
I’ve only had the check engine light come on once. I turned the car off and restarted to have it not come back on again.
I have been having trouble with my car sorta stuttering at/below 1000 rpm for the past week or so.
Any help asap would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 1000 mile trip to make on Saturday and would really like to get this delt with before then.

anyone???

code 9, No.1 cylinder position sensor…

This sensor is in your distributor… Take a look at the wires going to the dist to make sure none are loose since it seems like it’s an intermittent problem… Your bad idle could be caused by your distributor going bad?

Sounds like you’re getting a misfire in cyl. #1. You might want to change your dist. sub-ass’y first since that contains your CKP and go from there.

what would I ask for at the parts store?
just distributor sub assembly??
