Greddy Turbo Timer question. Vehicle Speed Sensor Wire

Hey Guys,

I have not yet purchased the Greddy Turbo Timer, but I’ve downloaded the instruction manual and it looks like a pretty decent unit. I dont think I will have any probs with wiring it up to the ignition etc, BUT it has a few features which monitor the vehicle speed.

I know our cars have a vehicle speed sensor, because I am utilising the ‘launch control’ option in TurboEdit (Chipped PR4 ECU) so I’m just wondering if anyone knows which wire is the one to connect to the Greddy unit.

Or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance guys,

on a obd0 ecu the VSS is connected to pin b16(yellow w/ red stripe) hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply!!

It looks like I’m getting a different turbo timer anyways now. Pivot Super Baby or something like that. I didn’t really need the extra speed sensing features of the Greddy, and the Pivot was half the price. Just bought it on eBay so waiting for it to arrive.

So for future reference, there is a VSS signal wire going into the ECU (OBD0 which mine is) so this can be used for these types of applications?

yes, the wire goes from the cluster to the ecu. if there wasn’t obd0 vtec ecu’s would never pop vtec.
