hard to convert front end to circle headlights?(1995)

this is nice…IMO, might do it to my car, i have some DC headlights and like 2 DC bumpers with 2 pairs of DC tail lights…

DO NOT try to convert to DC tail lights… that one has been done before, too and looked like complete crap.

you have a picture of it? just wanna see how it looks

I don’t have a picture. I don’t know if it is still on here somewhere or not. Between the roundness of the tailights on the sqare DA rear and the fact that they do not line up with anything, especially the trunk… it just looked like crap. I repeat DO NOT put DC tails on a DA… You also need a lot more than just a bumper and headlights to do the front - hood, fenders, lots of cutting, welding, and fabrication.

do you think he would be able to fit a k series in there?

eww, one of my reasons for gettin a DA iz because it doesnt have those headlights. if i had a DC, i would do the jdm front end conversion…honestly, i think the round headlights look retarded. everything else on the DC looks good tho.

I think it looks great, it actually looks like a DC from the profile in the picture. My problem w/DC’s are the front cap piece(nose) it looks like it’s a lego block snap on.

I agree with Raging here. If I had a G3, I would do the JDM swap to eliminate the buggy lights. G2s are just sexier IMO…

it looks good, but a problem i forsee is that front end adds a lot more front overhang.
not good for lowered cars, esp lowered G2’s.

did you just replace the hood and front bumper and modifie the fenders or did you replace those too, cause i notice that you have the side molding on the fenders. i have my front bumper and my head lights off my car and was comparing it with my girls 94 teg and it looks like all i need to do is mod. the fenders a little and the front bumper could fit i just dont know about the hood

that yellow car is really clean and nice, but I don’t really like the circle headlights at all

wow

that da is sick

imo i think the conversion looks good and IS semi-original. sure everyone has thought about doing this but how many people have actually done it. if everyone was a bodyman or knew how to do it so many people would have done it. its the fact that people cant do it or dont know how thats what makes them NOT want to do it. heh.

i’ve been lookin to do something like this but was thinking the jdm dc2 front with the 99-01 tail lights. in the picture he’s using the g2 fenders with the DOHC moldings on them. he probably modified the bumper support to fit on the bumper. shaved down the fenders a bit. then some bondo or body filler to even it back out. if anyone can do a write up that’d be some king shit.

i’d like to find more pics of this teg. i believe they did the ENTIRE JDM DC2 front end on this car, fenders and all.
i know there are more out there, i just need to find them. this bitch is HOT

in another pic i saw of this car, it had the jdm dc2 front bumper as well. this car is secksy.

JDM DC2 front end is I’m sure much harder to do than the the standard USDM 3rd gen version, and as I have already told someone else, the 3rd gen tail lights suck, especially on a DA (wish I had saved those pics as well):

What happens when you own such a car (happened like 2 month after the guy sold it to some kid):

i remember when that happened. i used to have that car as my desktop background FOREVER. owner was member Voudikula or something like that right, i can’t remember exactly what his screen name.

but the teg i posted didn’t just have the JDM DC2 headlights like the one you posted, mine had the full front end. with the DC2 front fenders modified to flow with the bottom section of the car, and also had the front bumper and everything. car is sick.

yeah but when he used the dc2 fenders it lost the body lines of the DA. and the side moldings. it looks good and all but thats the whole reason i like the DA, the squared body style over the DC’s rounded body style. i’d modify the DA fenders to fit the DC2 front bumper. over all thats still some king shit.

I was thinking about coverting my headlights the circle headlights (please learn to spell ‘cool’, thats so like age 9 to spell it that way) but I was looking at my 90 and decided I can do way more leaving mine alone. This is my firt car and I have huge plans for it (though I dont have a job or my license yet, though I am 16 almost 17) but anyways, if you really want to go ahead, but in my opinion the regular headlights have more potential

that’s so kool. being 17 sucks… i came into g2ic when i was 16

the regular lights have the potential to make more power :giggle:

is this what you “wanted” to do it
