have been runing on bad o2 sensor

been runing on bad o2 sensor…

well, exhaust is getting louder! it’s been 2 month now…

also less engine jerking at low rpm!!! Less power surge when you exceed 4k rpm…

I’ll be buying NTK o2 sensor soon, but can’t find the location of my current sensor now!! I have a 93LS. I looked at the engine block where the exhaust mainfold comes out (behind the radiator) nothing! Should I remove the heat shield to get better access?? I can’t even see wiring?? very strange…

anyhow… anybody got some advice if I should watch out for something else…

ciao…

I’m pretty sure on the 92-93 G2’s, the o2 sensor is down near the cat, check down there to find it.

yep, you’ll have to raise the front up and look just before the catalytic converter… it’s gonna be there, pointing straigh up… tell me if you notice a good difference when you replace it…

is the ‘cat’ the round cylinder right under the heat shield behind the tranny?

I believe it’s on top of the collector of the header. You won’t be able to see it from underneath the car. Here’s a handy-dandy page I copied out of the Helms for ya:

great, but can you point out to me on the diagram were it will be? (edit the pic and add a dot or something).

I’m realy not in the mood of taking out the exhaust looking for it!

The sensor’s either on “Exhaust Pipe A” or the little piece that connects it to the cat.

OKAY, got it, thanks a million… do you recomend changing the gaskets if I had to remove the parts to ge to the O2 sensor??

Yes, replace the gaskets.
