I just bought an aftermarket steering wheel. How do I install it? I ordered the hub with it too but I can’t figure out how to put it in? the new one seems to be too thin. do I need to buy anything else or how can I modify the old one to fit the new wheel? help
Pop out the center cap of the steering wheel with a flat head screw driver. Use your factory lug wrench to remove the factory steering wheel nut. Then just pull on the wheel it should slide off with a little effort. Follow the directions that came with the steering wheel. It should be very easy to install. The only hard part is getting the steering wheel straight!
actually it didn’t come with any instructions, and the adapter hub doesn’t look like it will fit. weird
ur hub adapter should have two sides to it. One with teething that matches your steering wheel rod (where your steering weel is connected) and the other should come say maybe with 6 or 8 holes to fit the scrwes of the new steering.
if after removing the steering you still can’t fit the hub, then maybe they have supplied you with the wrong one!
