Ok guys here’s the situation, my stock shocks are completely blown and its horriable. I came across some ground control coilovers a while back and i wanna put them on when i change out the shocks. well my budget is 250 bucks for new shocks. Im planning on setting the rear coils all the way up and just matching the height of the front with the rear so its even, so its basicly like a 1.5-1.8 drop. THis is not going to be a permanet setup its just until i get a grip of money to purchase my KONI yellows which will be in like 4 months. SO which ones will give me the nicer ride? the tokico blues which r non adjustable, or the KYB G2’s which are also non adjustable? and also i can get a 3 degree front camber kit from ingals for 90bucks if i put this on the front can it be adjusted to the right degree to straighten out the front tires? I ask this cause when i called them and told them i was doing a 2-2.5 inch drop they siad i need a 3 degree kit so i figure i will get this kit now and if it can be adjusted to work with a 1.8 drop ill also beable to use it again when i go lower after the KONI’s are installed. So let me know about the camber kit and please tell me which one u guys would perfer getting the Tokico’s or the KYBs cause i can get KYB’s for 55 a peice and the Tokico’s are 240 shipped for all 4. Thanks and much appreciated
If I were you, I would wait until you get the Koni shocks. No point in doing the whole re-install all over again (and believe me, you don’t want to do this all over again). Or, if you really want to do this, I would suggest just buying OE shocks like Monroe Sens-a-trac or something cheap. No point in buying something like KYB or Tokico when you’re using it as a temporary solution (unless you are able to snag some used ones).

well…im looking at this 2 ways here…i want something that i can resell afterwards…and ive already done the whole shock spring disassemble and reassemble a few times…with two people it doesnt take very long…and when i say temperary i mean i want something that will last me for at least a good 8 months or more because buying koni shocks is the last thing on my priority list so what was written doesnt help me one bit. I hope someone else can give me some info on this.
kyb gr2’s are fine at 46each. for the price of blues at 70+ id rather get agx’s at 79 which are adjustable and wayyyy better than any common non-adjustable.
where can i find KYB AGX’s for 79 a peice and not go over 270 with shipping…Nowhere im on budget and my budget is 250 bucks like i said so why is it people keep telling me to buy what i cant afford. im asking about GR2’s and Blues because i can get the blues for the same as the GR2’s and i wanna know if the blues are better than the GR2’s or not
i think you will be happy with either. they are alot better then stock and half the price of koni yellows. just pick whichever brand you like better.
where are you getting the blues for 250 shipped? the cheapest i could find was 275 shipped here http://www.importhorizon.com/tokicoblue.html
how about agx in front and gr2 in the rear?
im actually riding agx in front and stocks in the rear which should be close to blown by now. the front is the most important
i got them for 79 just from a local mom n pop auto shop. i know any performance shop or auto parts store around here will sell it at the same price give or take 2 or 3bucks. gr2’s are 46.
yeah i found a company on ebay that was seling them and i talked to the guy and he said 240 shipped brand new…so i jumped on the deal
