Help with Camber kit

I just installed a camber kit on my car and now the car drives like its on ice.
What is that?..Do I need to adjust the camber back in more?..or should I just take it to an alignment shop???

Go get it aligned asap…your toe settings are way out of spec, thus will burn up your tires helluva lot faster then having just bad camber… not to mention it being somewhat dangerous driving around with crazy steering…

pretty interesting huh. if you cant quite make it to teh alignment shop right away (cheap bastard like me?) you can just adjust the toe yourself by turning the tie rod bolt thing and doing it by eye. it helped a lot and i was very close. did it on the first shot. they didnt even adjust my camber as i had already set it to spec by eye- pretty much max at 3degrees.

How does one do the tie rod bolt thing? I can actually see the difference in front toe, but it’ll be some time before i can get it in for alignment…

just loosen the nut, then keep turning the other nut as the tie rod moves out. very simple you just need two wrenches. get a haynes or download the helms in my sig.

If it feels like it’s “on ice” I’d say you’re probably toed-in pretty well. Also, when you adjust your camber closer to 0 degrees you’ll lose some of the lateral grip. For better turn-in you want each side toed out, AT MOST, 1/16". Bring the toe closer to 0" for better wear on your tires.
