I been driving my car for the past week after i got it back from tuning, and there is a slight hesitation problem. It only occurs every once in a while, maybe about every third of fourth time i drive my car. The hesitation occurs at very light throttle, right in between the point of exhaust braking and parital throttle cruising. Its like the car cant make up its mind if it needs to accelerate of deccelerate. I can remain constant on the throttle and it will deccelerate and then accelerate creating a jerking motion. It only happens at this very slight throttle point. Every other time i drive my car, it drives perfect. No hesitation whatsoever. I am running a Hondata S200 for fuel management. Any ideas?
TPS out of spec?
Or maybe your tuner just wasnt able to hit that spot on the dyno. Low loads like that are hard to get to on a loading dyno. Usually that would have to be worked out on the street as it actually is happening.
It was street tuned first, and then placed on a dyno. About the TPS im not sure. I read on honda-tech that there used to be a bug in the hondata system that would cause a problem similar to this. I contimplating between the bug or a bad tune that is causing the problem. Still not sure though
How would i check if the TPS is out of spec?
With a Voltmeter (DVOM) and follow the instructions in the Helms because I honestly dont remember what ‘in-spec’ would be…
