High idle after calibrate TPS
just read that if engine stall when IACV port is blocked then IACV is working.

I still need to bleed the cooling system to see if it will help with idle.
That sounds correct to me, since the idle air bypass screw port taps into the IACV port, if I recall correctly.

are all g2 integra FITV interchangeable? will RS/LS/GS b18 FITV work on B17?

i adjusted my base idle, i bled the air in coolant, and cleaned the IACV. i checked for vacuum leak with carb cleaned at all vacuum lines and throttle body gasket area. No funky idle drop or raise. idle is still bouncing between 800-900rpm. sometimes it goes to 1000 then drops to 750. its very intermittent. i would say its pretty steady bouncing between 800-900. with engine warmed up, plugging FITV hole, there is suction but idle still remains the same bouncing between 800-900rpm. covering the IACV hole, the engine will stall immediately. when unplugging the IACV, no change in idle. idle drops to almost stall when i press and release the gas pedal.

i have no more ideas. im going to try and replace the throttle body and FITV to see if theres any changes.

rev it to 2k and see if there any bouncing maybe a problem with your dizzy/cables

cap/rotor, cables, and spark plugs has been replaced. has less than 2,000 miles on them.

i also replaced the throttle body, left the throttle stop screw alone. recalibrated the TPS. readjusted the FITV as i still feel vacuum when at operating temp. set base idle per the service manual. Still having the surging/hunting idle. when rev’d, idle still drops like it wants to stall. I will be replacing the IACV when it arrives in the mail.

I wanted to fix the ‘flat spot’ in my rev range and after researching up, people said to readjust/calibrate the TPS. now after messing with the TPS, looks i’ve brought in another problem. The ‘flat spot’ is still there and it happens very randomly. It could be during hot or cold weather, from the beginning of the RPM or middle RPM range. I dont know how to make it happen on demand. Sometimes this ‘flat spot’ or ‘hesitation’ feel comes and go real quick or sometimes it stays stuck. when it feels like its stuck, even with full throttle, the power doesnt increase and it takes the RPM to climb very slow. It is very annoying when trying to get on the freeway when the hesitation kicks in and out. Could it be dirty injectors? flywheel/clutch issue?
