hole on a b20b valve cover

that thing was a total piece! it was pretty quick though. ITR pistons, and Crower cams in a light ass car worked pretty well.

:werd:

I guess I wasted my time too:up:

Yea 93DA9 he basically ask us if a b20 valve cover would fit a b18a1 head and we both have listed it already so really the Noob didn’t read or bother to do so instead probably just scroll down and posted.

its so easy to get to that stupid pcv system now. not ugly box on the back of the motor anymore, i think oil changes will go alot faster to now, well at least for me cause i have bigger hands and that box was always in my way. i hope the motor just as powerful as my old b18a1, not sure on the hp on it but its the jdm b20b

^^HP

JDM B20B
126Hp 131Trq 8.8 Compression(96-98)
146Hp 133Trq 9.6 Compression (99-00)

If you got the 99-00 one, you should feel a little more power than your old 140Hp 126Tq OBD1 B18a.
The power curve will feel a little different, but a fresh motor will ofcourse feel alot better than an overmileage one.

i guess i got a newer motor, this one only has 52,000 miles on it. its a super clean motor, cant wait to start it up. i miss my da9 so much

Most JDM motors only have around 50,000 miles on them.
Japan has REAL strict emission laws. Good for us, bad for them.

ya no shit, is there any way to tell which year motor i got?

To tell what motor you have. look on the front of your head. there will be clock looking circles there telling the year it was made.

kyle10182: r u using a b20b motor?

i found out that when i pulled the b18a out the there isnt a hole in the b20b for that type of pcv system, so i had to use the one on top of the motor, not sure if i like it there yet. do they make those in alu. or metal or something?

frozenrice: how did ur engine swap go??? is she runnin yet?

i absolutley love that damn car now, that b20b is alot better then that b18. i am still trippin over the power that motor has. i also decided to throw a cat back on there cause my stock muffler got trashed. got the cat back from a fellow G2 member and i still cant thank him enough

This is pretty much how it is sitting in the garage as of right now. About another hour before the old engine is out and then drop in the new one. I’m not 100% confident that it’ll be running by the weekend, but at least it will be installed.

dang i like those one pieces, i wish i could find some cheap somewhere, egay is a good place to look but still…
