I have a '93 teg gs-r and I am making my own turbo kit from scratch. I bought XS’s big intercooler (24"x 11.5" x 3"). My question is how am I going to put the stock bumper back on the car. Do I have to cut the h*ll out of the metal bumper behind the trim peice. Any help/advice is welcome.
Dude, your gonna need a HUGE front bumper to fit that ironing board intercooler!!! Looks very nice, though. You might wanna go with either a BW or some type of VIS offering.
hahah mines bigger…and i have the blitz style from VIS. and after looking at it…i have tried sellin the surf board cooler…when i get pics on my car i will let u all know:p
INTEGRACON - i’ve been wondering that same thing, my plans include putting two fans on the front of that radiator to push air through. With the exhaust manifold I’m using it is not possible to put the fans in their stock location. Also I’ve amputated the A.C. so that is not in the way any more all that I have behind the I.C. is a Greddy oil cooler off the the passenger side.
FORMZ TSI - How much do you think coolant temps will raise?
I am considering cutting the stock bumper skin on the bottom, and then making a carbon fiber skid plate. Not that I plan on scrapping any I am hoping that it will help keep air through the radiator. Any thoughts?

thats not true at all. That intercooler isnt your run of the mill knockoff. It’s a quality IC that should see no more then about .2psi of drop.
