Does anyone else have a windshield with so many microscopic pits and chips from 180,000 miles of driving, that when the sun shines at you you can hardly see out of it? Is there anything to do but replace my (stock) windshield? How much would it cost to replace? should I replace it with a stock looking windshield or get the kind with the tinted strip at the top?
i just had mine replaced at 187xxx miles… oh my goodness i couldn’t believe the difference. it’s like there is no windshield! To answer your question yes, you actually can repair it for a price that varies with windshield size. My replacement costed me $160 with new weather strip. it’s not a stock one but no one can tell. and yes mine has that tint on the top that looks much better with it, than without.
