if u look @ the picture , u should have exactly that many pieces total…the back can be fixed by adding shims.

i dont know yet. i got the ingalls kit today, ill decide how low to drop it.
There are two types of kits. One type connects at the end joint of the upper control arm, the other type connects to the two points on the upper control arm that touch the fender. The second type is known for definite squeakage :bored:

just got the ingalls kit, waiting on my skunkworks coilovers, but now i hear my stock shocks wont last long with a 2 inche drop, ist this true? and what is a price range for aftermarket shocks that can take dops.

God man, your just at the same place I was when I dropped. Truthfully, the stock shocks on a 2.5" drop lasted 3 weeks before I told myself I needed new ones (I’m picky). So I priced out shocks…a few places that I found that had good prices was www.shox.com www.coximports (ended up going w/ them) and www.modacar.com and, as always… www.groupbuycenter.com
Cox Imports was able to get my tokico illuminas everything said and done for $430, now thats hard to beat. I would not recommend going KYB AGX w/ your drop as you are past the max drop their warranty covers. Your better choices might include Koni Reds (non-adjustable), Koni Yellows (adjustable), Tokico Illuminas (adjustable) and Bilsteins (self adjusting), no matter what people say, Tokico Blues do not like extreme drops and do go soft over time. So far your suspension setup doesn’t sound bad, don’t go too cheap on shocks. The prices hurt, but the performance goes w/ the price. I’m by no means a guru on this subject, just trying to offer help, I think a few like Shea, Jonster, RyanK, DB2-R81 might be able to help you more.
EDIT BTW, when doing your install, freaking SOAK that camber kit bushing in grease, otherwise, you’ll get aligned, and two weeks later realize you didn’t grease it enough and have to take it off and re-grease. Then you’ll need another alignment … DOH

i just shiit my pants :uhoh:. Right now i am broke (except money for tune up) but when the stock shocks do actually go out, is the car drivable?? or you just get a shitty ride, what is it like. i will save maybe $400 for shocks but ill will probably take me like 2 months do u think i can go that long?? im scared now, im just a poor 16 yr old that works at chuck e cheese for slave pay. plus i got to save money for college next year.
i love my teg so i will keep fixing her up. wish me luck ppl. ill try to get b4 and after pics.
also can somebody please give me a list of everything i need to check and make sure i have when it comes to dropping the car. dont leave anything out.

adjustable shocks
when u say non adjustable self adjustable, i didnt know shocks adjusted to anything
do u mean say you hit a big bump, the shocks would compress (shorten to take energy) and then after (if adjustable) go back to normal lenght?
i feel so stupid
adjustable mean u can change how tight(stiff) they are
i beleive they make 5way and 7way adj shocks
some shocks like koni yellows allow u to adjust height as well
take your time and save up for good shocks(dampers) i’m on sprint springs right now(2.5/2.25drop) i’m on stock shocks and after close to a year my shocks haven’t blown yet. i’m not saying your shocks will last forever, they won’t, you WILL need to upgrade them, but don’t worry too much about buying cheap shocks right away and save up for some good ones
