What test should i do , my engine as around 175 000 KM on it and it still pull very strong … but i got my turbo setup and wondering if my engine could handle 6-8 PSI of boost ?
Compression between each cylinder should register no more than a 5-10% difference. Also, do a Leak/Down test, pressure should hold with losses less than 10-15%. This should give you a general idea of the condition of your engine, however does NOT mean your engine won’t encounter problems under boost. But with good tuning and moderate boost levels, 6-8psi should be okay on a healthy engine. Good Luck.
thanks … it’s not a big turbo , it’s a KKK turbo my friend had it on is 95 rs and was boosting 10PSI and 12 at track on his stock engine no prob , !
