i was making a turn the other day and my hand caught the turn signal rod as i turned the wheel adn it snapped at the bottom. i dont have a turn signal now and i have to jam teh peice in there to get the lights to turn on. is there any way to replace that or should i try some glue??
if its a clean break there is no way glue would hold it well enough
Hehe, I did the same thing, except I accidently fell back into my seat one time while trying to get out of the car, and my arm somehow snapped the thing off. What sucked was I had my lights on, but I managed to jam the headlight knob thing in and turn them off. I just had to get a new one, there was no way glue was going to hold it, there’s a lot more force put on that arm than I thought. It was something like 110 bucks to replace from the acura dealer. You might try looking for one at a junkyard too, possibly, probably cheaper. It’s pretty straightforward to replace fortunately. good luck
You also could get a JDM one…except now your signals will be on the right and the wipers on the left…it takes a little getting use to. ![]()

what is the part that is actually being replaced? i dont think i can buy just the turn signal stick.and theres no way im paying 110 to get it fixed
The part that gets replaced is the turn signal/headlight switch, which is in the steering column, and has the rod thing attached to it. The whole thing was around 110 bucks from acura for a replacement one, that’s not including any labor or anything. I replaced it myself, it took less than half an hour, it’s pretty straightforward. If you don’t want to spend 110 on a new one, try looking in junkyards for ones, you can probably get them cheaper there. Good luck
Yeah I replaced mine recently too, but only because the high-beam “flasher” wasn’t working. It was $10 for the switch at the junk yard. I can give you my old switch as long as you don’t use the high beam flash thing.
