You’re just going to keep going through batteries unless you do something. You should either get a more powerful alternator or a separate battery for your system.
i got a new battery 3 month ago and its dyin on me really fast
i got a new battery 3 month ago and its dyin on me really fast. I have 2 power wire 1 10gauge and 1 8 gauge wire going to power 2 amps… One of the 8 gauge power wire does not have a fuse on it… would that make a different in loss of battery power??? i knw its dangerous but would tat rain alot of power from battery because it does not have a fuse on it?.. or is it good to get a capacitor? or change battery???.. Please help. Thank you.
maybe you need to change the alternator
Do you have a sound system.
umm… ur battery should be able to last for way longer than 3 months… i say u should get a better alternator and a cap to be safe…
There should be warranty on batteries…get them to replace it for free. You should put a fuse on both amps just in case. It’s more of a precautionary step to prevent any shortages or power surges to the amp, as well as prevent a fire between your battery and your amp(s), incase the wires heat up. Fuses are cheap, put one on.
Most auto-electricians in the past have told me that when you have a beat-up-from-the-feet-up alternator and battery, to have them changed at the same time. This is not true ALL the time, but if you think about it: if you have a dying battery because of a weak alternator output charge, then swapping out just the battery will only be a short, temporary fix because it’s not getting charged properly either. Same holds true if you swap out the alternator, and you still have the old battery which barely holds a charge, then the alternator basically becomes useless… ![]()
take youre alternator out and get it tested at a parts store
thx for the info people… i really appriciate it…
Hmm. Didn’t get the effect you wanted in the sig, eh? ![]()
