Ok. I got a 90 RS (automatic) My tranny is dying out, but I think my engine is rebuilt. So now i’m faced with a decision. I have a choice of dropping in the B16 (automatic) from the Xsi integra of japan or just getting another tranny and fixing up this engine. Also in the morning when the car is cold it wont shift gears from 2nd to 3rd why would it do this? Could it be sensors or the tranny? THANKS alot for listening to me. and hopefully someone out there can help me out. My budget is about $1400 and im in southern california. PLEASE HELP?
My automatic tranny wouldnt shift into 3rd gear, i tried everything but it was useless because the tranny was dying. I would check the resistance of the solenoid valves and if thats fine then prepare to buy a new tranny.
My tranny did the same thing, where it wouldn’t shift into 3rd when it was cold. I had to get my tranny rebilt.
Just get the B16A with a manual tranny it pays of
and the rebuilt w/ new tranny might cost more.
you can get a non-OBD B16A with tranny and ECU for 1150 not bad in my opinion. www.jdmhondaparts.com
