im so happy

ok heres the deal ive done my research and this is what im going with, please give me some input.

I have a 1990 GS Sedan

B16a swap from a JDM Xsi from Japan 160hp,112lbs.tq
AEM cold air intake
Apexi N1 Exaust
Skunk2 Headers
Spoon Sports ECU

That’s just the begining, but im not sure what tranny to use. i can use my ls tranny but im not sure about the gears. i wanna use the ls tranny because it will save money, but is it worth it to use b16a tranny?(dont want to be in 5th gear at 60 mph and sitting at 4500 rpm).:frowning: how much hp and tq after the intake, header, and exaust? please put in some input:cool:

DEFINITELY get the vtec tranny. the LS tranny will make your b16 feel like crap! Even if you have to hold off on the stuff like i/h/e and ecu just to be able to afford the tranny… do it! you’ll be happy you did.

also, consider spending your money on internals rather than bolt ons (i/h/e). bolt ons can be done anytime, but internals are much easier when the engine is out.

I would suggest not buying the i/h/e and ecu right now. instead spend that money on:
-higher compression pistons
-aftermarket clutch and lighten the flywheel

then swap the engine into the car. Start saving money and:
-get an intake (personally i think the aem is a waste of money)
-get a header
-get some ctr cams (or better), and upgraded valvetrain
-… the list goes on and on and on and on…
