It’s the same price as doing it in an EF, so definitely check those build threads out for tips
I’m definitely going to try my hardest to go this year:wave:
When is the date for Nashville?
i live in southern Illinois!! i would like to meet some of you guys before and drive there in a DA pack!!!
The fall meet in Nashville is pretty small. Summer is completly different because it is THE Import event of The summer. I believe IA Summer 09 beat out the Eibach meet for attendance. Summer is definitly worth the time and money to come down here. I have never been to the spring meet, but I am going to make a trip down there this year. It is in Atlanta, Georgia on April 11th. I haven’t been to it so I don know what kind of crowd to expect but I would say a fairly large one. IA is becoming bigger every year, an the guys thy run it are pretty cool and are working their asses off to make it happen. I’m not 100% sure on dates for Summer IA '10 but it will probably be the next to last or last weekend in July, so if you wanna plan on coming then that is what you should plan around. When the time gets closer for the summer meet I’m sure there will be a thread in the meets and events section and we can throw out some ideas to meet up around town and everything.
It’s the weekend of july 17th and 18th
ill be there if car is done… it will look quite a bit different though :werd:
I am down to cruise with anyone from illinois that wants to go in a pack im in chicago…also people who have been to the summer meets in the past…can you guys list just the average cost for this type of thing. I need to know if u have to pay anything to be a part of the meet or something…reason I am asking is because I couldnt find any information on this…so please someone list the average costs thanks a lot
Did you even look at the import alliance website or any of the 20 threads on h-t? I don’t see how you can’t find any info unless you didn’t look lol. It cost $10 for the 2 day pass to get into the speedway. I spent around $700 total on everything last year including, gas, tolls, hotel, food, may jane and beer lol. I drove my own car to.
LOL…sorry man i guess i didnt look close enough i shall now…damn thas not bad 10 bucks i gotta figure out hotel stuff then…
If you have a passenger and or a person or two to stay in the hotel room with you it would make it alot cheaper. Splitting the price of the room with one person was the biggest expense. That was like $200 each from thursday to monday after taxes.
thanks man…yea i am most likely gnoan have a passenger with me…the only dilemma i can think of is finding a hotel with a safe parking lot ahahaha…which im sure a lot of us are thinkign
as much as i hate to say it but if you find a place that has a ton of cars there already… stay there because the more cars that are there, chances are good that people will be hanging out at all times and no one will bother your car when there are people hanging out all night. That’s how it was where i stayed at last summer and no one had any problems at the hotel with cars. Places with few cars and not that many people around are the ones to have shit happen like the hotel down the road from the place where i stayed. I think like 5 cars got broken into.
When thinking about hotels to stay at, my advice is don’t stay in Murfreesboro. That is the closest town to the speedway and that is where most people will stay that go to summer IA. Reason I say that is simply because of thieves. We have had some cars stolen threads popping up on our local forum lately and they have all been in the Murfreesboro and surrounding areas. If you think about it like a thief (which I am not, but to guard against break ins and what not you have to think like one) if a thief is going to steal something I want a good selection. The weekend of IA is going to be a Walmart for a thief. So many cars in such a small area. Murfreesboro is not a bad town buy any means but there are a lot of kids down there because of it being a college town and so shit gets broken into and stolen down there more often. My advice to anyone driving down from out of state is to stay at a hotel in the Franklin, Cool Springs, Brentwood area. Not only will you stay out of alot of the main traffic and run the risk of getting your shit broken into, the big Saturday night meet in town is in the Cool Springs area anyway. The Franklin and Cool Spings area is about 30-45 minutes from the Speedway. If you need any recomendations on hotels in the Cool Springs/Franklin or even in Murfreesboro I can help you out just let me know and I’ll throw out some hotels for ya.
Last year we stayed in downtown nashville and it was like a 30 minute drive, this year we are trying to stay closer then that. The place i stayed at last year was jam packed so bad that there were no parking spots left in the hotel. People had to park on the road that was next to the hotel. I went to a big saturday meet at a burgers and cream place last year during ia weekend, that place was packed and the food was good. I don’t even know where we are going to stay at this year, gotta wait to hear from other people. Last year we rolled like 35 cars deep and this year it will be more. I can’t wait lol
I want to see if there is a holiday inn or something because…lot of holiday inns have enclosed parking lot…that you have to pay to get in and there is an attendant there always…plus i just found out that IA weekend is the same days as wmhm 10 at gingermann damn itt…
Not in Tennessee. The one downtown might have that but all the other Holiday Inns around don’t have enclosed parking with attendants.
The holiday in next to the laquinta, you can see it in the background of the pic with my car in it. They have a normal parking lot at that holiday in.
