Ok, i installed hte front suspension with no problem, but with teh rear i remove teh top 2 flange nuts, then i removed the bolt that goes thru the shock assembly and what im guessing is the lower arm, next thing it tells me to do is lower the lower arms, but that isn’t giving at all… Am i missing something or what?
The lower arm should move, but it’ll probably be stiff. You can try a few things:
1)Get a friend to stand on the hub assembly, hopefully pushing it down enough to get the shock out
2)Remove the upper control arm bolt that bolts it to the rear trailing arm
3)Remove both the upper control arm bolt-to-rear trailing arm bolt AND the sway bar-to-lower control arm bolt(s)
That should allow you go get the shock over the lower control arm. The lower control arm, upper control arm, and rear trailing arm all move together, and all most certainly move, but together it tends to be pretty stiff. Just work at it and you should be able to get it apart. Good luck
Hey, i got all of teh suspension bolted on and everything, it wasn’t that hard for the rear once i removed the upper arm bolt, anyways, i was driving it around and feeling it out, and i could hear some noise coming from teh rear of the car as if it was a tiny bit loose, was wondering if i need to tighten the lock nut on top of the shock and if that would fix that?
I really dunno how to explain it, it just sounds like it might be a lil loose, or some kind of noise is coming from the rear suspension…
All other bolts are torqued down to specifications but the lock nuts aren’t torqued down to specifications, was wondering if i needed to torque those down correctly or what… And if they need to be torqued down to the right specifications how do you torque those down to specs?
Anyways thx for any help… Philip

You’ll just have to torque it by feel. One way is to maybe feel how tight your upper bolts in your front suspension, and try to achieve the same in the rear. Or you could always custom-cut the cover so that it will allow for a deep socket and torque wrench and it’s all good:D One thing, don’t torque the upper bolts while the wheel is jacked up. Always torque it when the car is sitting normally.
