intake Resonator?

I began removing mine choosing to go the route not taking the front bumper off so the first 2 towards the back were real easy and then The front it was a real B*tch getting the ratchet on but no there’s like no room to mmove it and when I triede to move it I think I may have stripped it…is it gonna be any easier if I take the bumper off I plan on totally removing it. is is stupid to do it considerring I already have a performance intake? thanks alot guys I’m feeling a lil :frowning: about my car help me out

Taking off the bumper and putting it back on is not as easy as it seems. It’s always better to have a helping hand. But once it’s off, you’ll have full access to the resonator.

BAH! No offense, but take the bumper off. The first time it may seem hard, but every time after that you’ll be saying to yourself, WHY DIDN’T I DO IT BEFORE? It took me like 20 minutes to take my bumper off first, but ever since then it’s like a 5 minute job.

Anyway, to take it off you first unscrew the bumper from the fenderwells. There are 2 screws on each side, you’ll have to move the wheels to the right, then to the left to get access to the screws. You’ll know what I mean when you do it. Next, you should remove the 2 bolts that hold the bumper under the car. I stripped one of mine and had to cut it off, but hopefully you won’t have to.
After these, you’ll want to remove the 2 bumper lenses. There will be 2 bolts in each of these. I would suggest removing one bolt from each side, then undo the last two slowly as they are the only other thing holding the bumper on. From there you’ll want to pull the sides away from the fenderwall, and it should come out, be careful for the bumper lense lights.

Now you’ll have easy access to the resonator. You can always just cut that sh!t out, it won’t hurt anything.

And definetely remove the resonator with an aftermarket intake, and I would suggest going CAI. Good Luck!

Thank you soo much guys  I have a day full of car work now. My moms water pump just went bad son her oldsmobile intrigue so that’ll be a jolly good time. I also am going to take my bumper off! woohooo for the first time. looks like its one run to the autoparts stor or else haha thanks alot
