I’m sending the Cheif of Police of Norman an email right this instance.
Has anybody be contacted back by the local authorties with an update?
if i don’t get my money or proof that it was sent on the 12th, then chris will be accruing interest at the rate of 10% compounded monthly. i will also start the filing process after that date. wow, that adds up quick. lol looks like a drawn out repayment will benefit me more! hmmm.
I’m going to be doing the same thing.
This is meant for you to notice so you don’t get a surprise when you see how much you owe me.
I’m also charging you $300 for the set I could have bought locally, but you claimed to be sending them so I passed on them.
What excuse do you have for this statement?
@least reply to your emalls.
Actions speak louder than words.
Do all that you claim to be doing.
Stop being such a girl & man up.
(No offence ladies, all of which have more balls then Mr. Wil-no-cox)
I gave him until the 12th to refund me. He said he’d do it yesterday, but I never heard anything. TN & OK Long Arm Statutes work very well in my favor, so I have no problem going across the street, filing a small-claims suit, and having someone in Norman give him the letter…
Chris Wilbanks you’ve been emailed. You have 2hrs to give me my money. Then I’m going to the courthouse.
WOO
Hopefully you guys are finishing up with your threats and will begin the legal action you are talking about.
will do!
Already on it.
My bank gave me all the things I need to show to the authorities.
Enough is enough.
yeah I noticed that too. Lots of “You’re going to pay me for this this and this as well as what you owe me!”. Hate to break it to you guys but if this guy doesn’t have your money, he surely won’t have money to cover all of the extras everyone is tacking on. Sure you can sue him and they can garnish his wages, but honestly how much can one make in a year bagging groceries or flipping burgers? I wonder if you win a judgment against him could you sell your judgment to a structured settlement company? What % would the settlement company take and would it even be worth it for them?
well, if i tack on the extras, i’ll make sure to get the most out of it.
We could all do it together then sell it to them…that’d be a nicer chunk of change…
The most out of what? If the guy has no money you could charge him $10,000 and you’ll still see nothing. I’d be more concerned about getting 1) the money you laid out for the parts 2) the fees associated with payment 3) any court or filing fees, before worrying about interest.
As I said earlier I eyeballed it and it was around $2k. That might still be too low. Usually settlement companies take large winnings like suing someone for hundreds of thousands of dollars. They pay off the winner less some fees and a percentage then they go after the loser “pay us this much a month for the rest of your life.”
when it builds up to over $500 or $600, the fees plus the court costs will be covered. if the sum is somehow adjusted or reduced, i’ll be in a better position to get most if not all of the 309.99 that i originally asked for. i am not trying to make any more money than what i lost. hopefully that will serve as a mechanism to get him going. other than that the kid is 19 and is bound to have the money sooner or later.
For your sake I hope you’re right.
you know what i’m thinking! most likely the exact thing you are. c’mon now. catching up to you in trader rating!
Exactly.
If he sees there no consequences for his actions, then why would he even want to consider getting started paying people back.
The way I see it, is if he want to take his time I’ll make sure his credit is going to be messed up in future.
If he’s alright with living in the basement of his grandma’s or some other family member for the rest of his life, then thats that.
10% is fair for interest.
I was thinking of charging him half of what I make in a day.
Nah I was thinking about my current situation. My job wants me to carry extra insurance that would seriously cut into my pay. They won’t pay for it. Everything I do is checked by someone with insurance who went to school for 5-10 years and is technically a doctor. I told them flat out I’m 27 and rent my dwelling. My car is worth $500 tops and I have no savings or assets. If someone sued me I could quit my job tomorrow and work full time under the table for one of my uncles friends. I’d make roughly what I am making now, have better hours and never make another dollar on paper was long as I am able to work. So if someone wants to sue me for a million dollars, they can go right on ahead.
edited to add: Sure it would fuck up my credit, but cash talks alot. Larger down payment on a car and slightly higher monthly payments? No problem, or just buy a car outright in cash. Just keep renting homes too.
So has someone filed yet? Today is his last day with me. If not, I’m going to go file here tomorrow as soon as I can…
same here.
