Hey guys im trying to get the panels off the doors to do some work and im having a bit of trouble getting them off. Can anyone give me some tips/tricks or something that would help?
first make sure you remove all the screws. There should be 5 screws per door panel. Plus one more plastic screw type expander type thing up by where the defroster vent enters the door (can’t be seen when the door is shut).
so, thats 6 things to remove first.
then just go all along the bottom and side edges of the door panel and just tug. There are plastic clips holding the panel to the door.
once all those clips are loose the door panel will be almost completely free–only the top should be still stuck on. This part can be tricky. You gotta tug upwards on it to get it out of the slot is in.
then unplug all the connectors for the electrical stuff, and wala, you’re done.
