Is CAI worth the money?

I just got a 93 RS(Hell yea!) and i’m lookin to buy an intake for it. I was wondering if Cai is worth the money or should i just get a Short Ram. Please Help me!

I haven’t had ram air but unless you have a vented hood, I don’t know if that’s really the best option for you. I like the sound of my CAI. AEM makes a quality CAI.

Yes. But only if you buy a quality one like AEM.

I bought a $50 no name one off EBAY, I’m happy with it, its the same as a AEM one.

i dont trust the generic filters. i say just make sure to get a k&n filter and ghetto rig a cai extension. check teg tips.
or if you have money to burn go ahead with the aem cai cuz why buy the best if youre only gonna go short…

Remove everything upstream of the stock filter box, drop a K&N filter in, run generic ducting to a fresh air source(optional…you’ll still be pulling fresh cool air even if you don’t use ductwork…it’s mainly for the purpose of efficient flow). Total cost with filter: $55.
