is it normal to smell fuel inside cabin when running rich?

It’s been so long since I gave my DA a good “rodgering” that I cant remember if this is normal. Anytime I give it some at WOT I can smell fuel. I do have a FPR set- i cant remember exact # but i know i set it to what a stock ITR is. So is it normal to get that rich smell in the car after mashing on the gas?

I got the same problem…i got my fuel pressure at 25 psi…i got a gsr 1.8 ecu so im trying to level out my fuel…whats stock? :danger:

Might want to check your injectors, they may be leaking. Just look at the top of your intake manifold and see if you can see oily looking residue by where the injectors go into the head. I had to replace one of my injetors on my LS because it had a small crack in it and was leaking slightly at high RPM’s, once it was replaced, the smell went away.

well, i’m pretty sure i’m running rich and yes, after i get on the gas a bit more than avg it’ll smell a bit like fuel (well, not straight liquid fuel…but rich exhaust gases).
