Ok well my actual left drive tire barely spins but my right front does like crazy and smoke comes from it. Why? And then when I am backing up or just go forward a bit in first gear there is a loud click when I hit the brakes. I know its not from the ball joint cause I replaced that and my axle too with the tire off you can grab the halfshaft or whatever piece that goes into your rotor and move it back and forth and hear it clicking. By moving it I mean with an in and out motion towards the rotor or the piece it hooks into. Any suggestions as to what it could be ??
check the cv joint to see if its ripped, by that i mean the rubber boot and if its not try checking your wheel bearing. hope this helps
The CV boot is fine but I have no idea about the wheel bearing or what that even is. Please let me know!! Thanks.
the wheel bearing is the splined thing that the axle splines go through and the nut holds it to. its pressed into the spindle. u should take it to a shop and see what they say about it. thats the easiest way to find out if its bad
Is it possible that a few teeth could be worn way down or something of that sort because I know if the axle is bad then the car won’t go at all because that one has broke on me before. But that was because of the CV Joint. So basically it’s going to limit it to just the wheel bearing. How much does that cost to fix?
Or actually is there someplace that I can tighten that because maybe its not tight enough because you can grab the axle and move it back and forth. What is the way to tighten that up?

no u cant tighten it up which means u hae to get another one pressed in by a shop. good luck.
I don’t think you understand what I’m talking about. An axle you don’t have to press in because I have replaced them before and actually on the whole passengser side had one come out. Well the half shaft anyway.
Why not just take it to the shop and let them find out whats wrong instead of guessing what is wrong. A shop can actually take a look at it and see if something is bad, where as people on the board can’t see it. Better just to take it to a shop. But thats just my opinion.
I honestly don’t know that much about the drivers side and how it works but I don’t want just any shop telling me this this and this is wrong just to get money out of me because I have no idea what it could be. Thats why I’m asking just so I have an idea.
