Darren, what are you/your body shop using to āpatch upā and re-enforce the cracks? I havenāt had any issues with my Hiro wing, and itās been been almost two years now. Iāve heard some are more fragile than others, like any other limited supply product made from fiberglass. Maybe since you bolted it down, the flex of your trunk/hatch affected the weakest area of the wing? Running mounting clips, Iāve experienced no issues. Was the crack along the backside of the blade and/or around the edge where it turns downwards?
they body shop have repaired it and reinforced itā¦but i think i now what the problem is?
where i made the holes in my trunk to mount the HIRO is a bit off so i have to slightly pull the spoiler to line the 4 holes up, and so im thinking that strain is causing the crack
before i gave it back to the body shop i made the bolt holes into oval shapes as it gives me a few mm more adjustment and when i tried the HIRO afterwards i could bolt it down without having to pull it slightly
so hopefully no more cracks!
heres a pic where it cracks
