great progress man, i like how you are putting the simple but important things high on your list of priorities
thanks guys, Its seems to me that with every car i work on, the interior is always the first thing to get done. i cant stand missing items or broken crap. and i usually always try to stay close to how the factory intended it.
one example of my interior restore was my 1986 mercury capri 5.0
its a 1986 dash and center console painted graphite grey to match the 1991 lx door panels
and rear trim. 91 switches wired to work oem.
and this is the summer whip. the a6’s interior
and of course the da
still hunting down some oem floormats. Also… has anyone ever found a molded carpet for under 179$ im most likely going to get black.
and on a totally unrelated note, heres the other crap im workin on.
getting these
on this
when i first got them i layed out brake pad boxes and propped one up just for the sake of it.
ill most likely get tires for the e3o wheels first.
alright well time to go catch up on sons of anarchy. peace
just a quick dumb vid. its all stock exhaust so you get a clear sound of the motor/intake. its a factory box/tube with some extra cutouts and the silencer removed. K&N also.
you are making great progress, man! keep up the good work, ill definitely be checking this out!
great progress, showing that DA some major love… i’ve never seen ‘bottlecap’ rims polished before, looking forward to that
your headlight bracket, did you just sand & paint?
its a shame your DA didn’t have tan interior, it wouldve matched all your other cars haha
BTW the stock airbox w/ resonator delete is a great alternative to a flashy intake, i want to do the same aswell as i found the stock airbox w/ res. delete sounds wayy deeper/bassier than an aftermarket intake at lower rpms WOT, just what i need in a daily lol
thanks for the comments!

the headlight brackets i just purchased in near mint condition, the rust is too bad on mine to save them.
as for the intake, if you looked at the first page you can see the mods i did to the air box, i might make another inlet with a front facing ram-duct. but the k&n with the factory box is the only way im going to go, and it sounds great. I would rather have intake/engine sound over exhaust sound any day of the week.
so with little time here and there ive been working on doing little projects. i wanted to add a little pattern to the interior, but i didnt want to stray to far from the original color theme. so I got some grey and black zoot suit fabric and started pulling panels.
my plan is to finish the other side and also the rear quarter window trim. then do the headliner in black and the sunroof slide in the pattern fabric.
still waiting for a day off with somewhat warm weather to start tearing into the brakes and suspension.
finished up the drivers side rear, and the rear speaker grille.
Goes with the seats perfect i think.good choice.
your DA is coming out nice man . The interior is looking pretty cool too, its different. Hope to see those polished BottleCaps as well . Keep up the good work.
well. the build is on hold for the time being. i was sitting in stop and go traffic and i was looking in my rear view but the headlights were advancing too fast. boom got slammberd by some guy in a yaris, no brakes at all. it sucked even worse because i saw it coming, but just got the car in first to try and avoid it and SLAM. the toyota was destroyed.
no broken lamps, no frame damage. i REALLY HOPE that it doesnt get totaled.
im figuring
rear bumper
fill panel
rear interior panel
“t” bracket
im trying to pull the corner of the bumper back up just to stop the rubbing because i still have to drive it. oh and im pissed i lost my chrome tips too.
weak i was lovin this build.
rear inner panner for sure… sorry to hear man, good luck on getting her all fixed up.
car toatled. damnit. anyways heres the thread.

My car was in a hit and run and looks worse than that! Just make it sure the hatch will stay closed and keep driving it! My car is strictly a beater so i dont really care about looks, as long as thats ok with you i wouldnt part it out.
wow totaled really? That exact same thing happened to my car…tail light looks identical. less than $300 to fix it perfect…
yea, the rear floor is crumpled. both quarters creased, drivers rail tweaked. dude hit me at about 50.
old teg on the right, new teg on the left. build thread to come very soon.
alllllright here we go. so its a 1990 ls, 93 front end conversion, carbon fiber hood, honda civic 6 spoke covers.
i HAAAATE aftermarket 1 pcs so i let him keep the headlights and he took some money off the car.
has a 94 ls motor with cams and headers/full exhaust. motor sounds good, no noises or anything wierd going on. it does throw a cel but i know its from a disconnected O2 sensor. it has a 4 wire sensor in the exhaust, but its a 1 wire hookup in the wiring, as the car was kept all original 90 wiring. i will be doing the 4 - 1 conversion with the “heat” pos and neg connections.
the car is a FUCKING MESS. i have been plugging away at the shopping list of things to do. i found this burned wire the other day,
im trying to trace it back, and the yellow wire from this cluster should be the wire feeding the constant on the clock.
i will be pulling the interior completely from my 91, as i have been cleaning and collecting parts for it for almost a year now. as for the exhaust, i will be changing the large tip currently on the car
…to this tip.
i like the dual/factory look so much better
the car however is a wiring nightmare, so ive been trying to get all the burned/cut/hanging/incorrectly connected/ect cleaned up so i can get everything working properly. the car had basically nothing working when i got it, and the vaccum system was a disaster. got the vac all squared away, except for the rad fan. i have the wiring diagram so ive been tracing all the things i can. as for the rad fan wiring i am just going to run an ign hot 12V to the blue wire on the fan, and the black wire to one prong on the ect switch and the other prong of the ect to a ground which should get the fan to turn on at 180* i belive that is the factory setting of the ect switch.
the interior is of course a mess, as which is the only thing you will see in any da under 1600$ i have looked at many and i saw a 600$ integra and the interior should have been illegal. and i also looked at an integra for 900$, interior horrific. but 1800$ for an integra that i looked at and it could have been in a barrett jackson auction. TAKE CARE OF THESE CARS, THEY DESERVE IT!
anyways. tomorrow i will be diagnosing the power window and heater blower motor issues.
small update as it is what i have pictures of…
near new headlight housings, with amber corners…keeping the 3 pieces of course.
and yes that is a sony dolby pro-logic 5.1 surround sound amplifier, tuner not built in, circa 1995, owned since new. i will keep it old school.
updates soon. i have coilovers and top hats to install also. and of course the 5 E30 bmw wheels i will be polishing for this car now, instead of my 91.
later, mad max 2 the road warrior is on, ohh pre jewish faith hating mel gibson, you were almost cool.
[QUOTE=91LS5speed;2245559]finished up the drivers side rear, and the rear speaker grille.

wanted to know if it was a pian in the a** to pull them panels to do the fabric? i just got done doing the driver door panel with fabric and it was a messy job with the adhesive spray.
Well it looks pretty nice, i just wasnt sure if the panel comes off in one piece or sections? thanks
