12lbs LS. Tried to run more boost but my boost controller and/or boost controller were being jewish. wouldnt run steady and anything mroe and it spiked real high. My dynogrpah is a rollercoaster, weeeeeee. Only had 2 hours to tune, and the GM 2bar map sensor was a BITCH required alot of tuning, that POS. Timign was untouched and really conservative since i didnt have an egt guage to tune with.
Keep in mind there was no air going over the intercooler, just some pos hvac fan that barely moved any air. The .48 is choking my top end heh.
so it looks like you consistently made a little more power at 11.6 than 12:1, and a LOT less at 11.0. what kind of wb controller and sensor?
timing at -1*/lb?
i hadnt really made the correlation between ignition tuning and egt’s. i figured it was just keep pushing until you ping or dont make any more power. or watch the rising temp when retarding too much/little. any more insight?
I was gonna ask you how you knew I was in tampa til I remembered where I hosted the pictures
I just moved from texas to tampa 3 months ago and I rarely post on g2ic so I havent updated my account.
obx manifold, junkyard t3 turbo off a ford thunderbird, junkyard 18 wheeler intercooler, delphi 550cc injectors, GM 2bar map sensor, 2.25" jcwhitney charge pipes, 3" turboback, deltagate, home depo boost controller (shows in my rollercoaster power curve), turboXS RFL.
My timing is at -0.7 degrees/lbs. You generally dont see turbo hondas adding timing til they ping lol, there would be alot of blown up motors. Usually just use timing to keep the EGT’s under control a bit. The WB was a bosh lsu2 or some shit, the controlelr was the hardware that came with the dyno, lol.
I lived in Tampa for 7 years. Where at do you live? I lived right outside of Tampa in a place called Brandon. Nice place to visit…but living there was somewhat of an experience. Where did you get your tuning done? There are quite a few good shops down there.
now looky here…all this talk about how the t3 is no good…looks pretty freaking good to me…great stuff man…you should get a better boost controller though…hook it up on ebay even…you can get an turboxs one for like 50 bucks!
Uberteg is right though, it looks like at 12psi that T3 runs outta steam at about 6400 RPM. I wonder what .63 A/R would look like? .48 T3 is a perfect match for a B18a/b though if you don’t want more than 250whp. I don’t think it would match up as well with a b16 or a b17 though.
