K24 with intake dyno results

My CR-V was able to be used for fitting of an aftermarket intake. They tested an Acura RSX base model intake and it fit perfectly. The kit looks and sounds great.

The company dynoed the Cr-v before and after and resulted in a 6hp gain. They showed me dyno sheets but would not give me any copies. They cited very good reasons why.

I decided to dyno the Cr-v myself. I took it to Sleeper Motorsports in San Bernardino Ca. They did three runs with the aftermarket intake and then three with the stock box and filter.

The Temp was 110f degrees and humid. The trans is auto.

Make your own conclusions.

Interesting, with the hood down you actually loose HP when using aftermarket intake.

BTW what year CRV is it?

Are you able to say what brand intake it was?

It is a 2002 Cr-v lx automatic. Since the kit was free and i don’t want burn any bridges, I am not going to name the company.

Does the 02 CRV still use the B20Z engine?
