kyb gr-2s

hey whats up
does any one have any expirence with the gr-2s
im thinking about geting them next month
and i wanted the see if anyone has any pros or cons about them
thanks

theres gota be some one out there with these shocks/struts
thanks

i got them, they feel a little bit like stock, a little more stiffer, i just put them on raactive coilovers… if ur shocks are good and ur just replacing them wit kybs you will notice lil diffrence. am i happy wit it? yes i am the ride is much smoother, my car handles better but if ur looking for a big difference, then go for something else

I’ve got em with H&R Sport springs… I dig em…

The ride is definitely great for street/touring; softer than most performance shocks, they feel almost like a stock ride, but still handle way better than stocks when combined with the H&R’s…

If you can afford to spend a little more, the KYB AGX’s are adjustable, not that expensive, and a great ride.

hey whats up
i am plaining on puting them on with a set of max speed coilovers
so they do handle a little better but not a huge differance between them and stock. i would like to get agxs but they dont make a full set just fronts. will haveing agxs just on the front make that big of a difference. what a bout tokico blues. are they a big improve ment from stock.
how do the gr2s feel over bumps
thanks

and im plaining on droping it like 2-2.25 in the front and like 1.8-2 int he back. so i dont know if that affects any thing or not
and i read some where that the gr2s didnt come thing any bump stops, is that a bad thing or can i just take the ones off of my car
thanks

I ran my H&R’s with my stock shocks for about 2 months. It was a comfy ride that handle really well, but it was too soft over bumps, and my teg would bottom out once in a while (seldom) if I was too quick over speedbumps, potholes etc. - the shocks would bounce off the bump-stops… not good.

Now, with the GR2’s, the ride is just as comfy, stiffer through the turns, and no bottoming-out off the bumpstops when I’m charging it. The one thing is that it can feel a bit like a lux car over dips etc on the free way… ie. a tad floaty. AGX’s up front can fix that for you… Also, you might check to see if civic rear AGX’s will work on the teg… I know there is some debate about this on the board, but I will tell you the GR2’s I ordered from Summit have the 2nd Gen Teg part number, but are box labeled as civic shocks, so you might check on the civic AGX’s.

Otherwise, since your not investing much in your coilovers you prob want to save on your shocks… the GR2’s should be fine for you as long as you don’t run too low.

Finally, if you have your stocks, any parts you need can be scavenged easily, but BR installed mine and I’m pretty sure he was stoked b/c the GR2’s came with everything needed.

ok thanks man
well as of right now im thinking about just staying with the gr2s unless i can find a set of agxs for a good price because i dont really have a lot to spend. but how might i find out if the civic rear agxs will fit. thanks for replying
