hey guys whats up, last few days , i took out my trans… axels all that nonsense, big job… w/ a stupid haynes manual i will burn, went my way, it was suscessful…i put in the new exedy clutch/ pressure plate… took me a while to get that trans back on…finally did… bolted it… went to put on the cable…went in the car and pushed the pedal…its ilke dead!.. it stays at the floor… what could have happend… i didnt have time tonite to fiddle more w/ the cable… someting is weird!!

That really sucks, it sounds like you forgot to put back in the release fork spring. That is the spring that goes from the release fork to the release bearing…
This also means that you have to pull it back off to fix that.

Make sure you didn’t snap your clutch cable. Supposed to replace it when you upgrade to a stronger clutch.
This is obvious but did you try adjusting the cable all the way in and out? Are you getting any grab at all?
How does the release arm feel when you pull up on it with your hand? Any resistance?

If you’re getting resistance when you pull up on the release arm, check your clutch cable for proper seating at the firewall. My cable got all screwy when it popped out of the firewall grommet.

Assuming u put everything back into the tranny…have u tried turning that little knob on the cable to re-tighten it? It might sound simple, but thats what the pedal do if u dont tighten that knob.
If this is not the problem then BR is probably right, u forgot the fork spring…
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! IT RUNS, IT RUNS GREAT, CLUTCH FEELS TOTALLY NICE. i tried starting it, had some weird winding and grinding sound…on the 3rd try it started… im guessing the trans gears were getting coated w/ fresh tranni oil, but thanks for the reply, i adjusted my cable and all, i cant believe i went from knowing nothing about cars last july, to putting ina new clutch by my self… it took alot out of my life, dont mention new axels w/ the job as well
