what all is wrong with it? Cuz all i really need are gears 1-4

you gotta specify if you want a vtec or non vtec tranny. Because it came in both forms.

also, finding a good condition vtec s1 tranny for under $300 might be difficult. Typically i see them go for $350-$450.

good luck on your search for one!

Umm VTEC and NON-VTEC trannys are interchangable arent they? And I cant even find a good S1 tranny :frowning: Saw 1 on parts trader that was in an accident and is sold ‘as-is’. All i want are short gears for ma LS so i can actually put some torque to the ground :stuck_out_tongue:

just the synchros, i think the gears are ok, but i have yet to take it apart…

i’ll buy it if you’ll ship. I have no way of getting over there :argh: I’m in central TX. Let me know.

yes, vtec and non vtec trannies are interchangible, in fact all b series trannies will bolt to all b series engines.

however, the gearing of vtec and non vtec trannies is different. The gears in a vtec tranny will be shorter—thus more fun, better for racing, and basically better all around. The longer gears of hte non vtec tranny are better for turbo and/or gas mileage.
