I have been noticing that the shifter in my integra is getting looser and looser. It is getting so bad that even when I am in gear the shifter can be moved around like it is in nuetral. It doesn’t seem to pose any serious problems (yet) - I can still shift into gears without a problem (if I can find them). It just doesn’t seem right. Has anyone encountered anything like this. I figure its loose bushings or a bolt or something. But if anyone has had this problem and fixed it–let me know please! Thanks a bunch.
I kind of had the same experience. When I got my auto to 5 spd conv. (got it done at a Honda dealership) they didn’t put this certain pin in the linkage. It’s not a normal looking pin. When i got my car back it was allll sloppy, then i took my car in to get the “pin” put in and it stiffened it up A LOT. It’s located underneath the car where the shifter connects to the linkage i think… hope this helpped
get under the car and make sure all the shift linkage and shift stabilizer are in place. If they are then i’d try some shift stabilizer bushings, if that still doesn’t do it then i have no idea.

get under the car right beneath the shifter there abolt and nut that hold the shifter to the shift linkage.some time the nut come off.
