Anyone know what causes the shifter to move around like it is in neutral while it is in gear. It still goes into gear and shifts fine, but while it is in gear you can still move the shifter left and right. This car was recently purchased and a short shifter was put in by the previous owner. Any help is greatly appreciated.
A replacement of the shifter bushings should solve that. Its not expensive.

Look at your engine block, you will see 4 spark plug wires, on one end they go to the spark plugs, and on the other end it connects to the distributor (that roundish thingg).
