ls crank in gsr block

I did a search on this, h/t and honda acura and can’t find a definite answer…

will I lose my oil squiters?

Please no dumb ass comments, in the next few days I will be testing it so I will know for sure, but I was just wondering what everyone elses experience with this was. Plus when I find out, I’ll post back up and when someone else has this question they can search and find this post.

Yes, from what I understand the 89mm B18A/B and B20B/Z crankshafts will not allow clearance for the oil jets. This is another reason why it is always important to use forged pistons when doing a non-VTEC to VTEC conversion.

I was told that the oil jets do not work by an engine builder named Steve Taylor from Tech43 racing in Southern California. He is the guru who along with Arias pistons developed a piston with a 7mm raised wrist pin and with a slot for a piston ring. It allows you to put an “LS” crank into a B16A block when using these pistons. The guy knows what he’s talking about…

Yea, I know Tech43. He posts alot on H/T. That “stroker” kit for the b16 is unreal. I’ll take his word, but will still probaly try it anyway. Thanks
