Lucas Oil Additive

Just curious to see if anyone ever used Lucas Oils products in their vehicle. I’m not going to give a testimonial about the stuff, but I bought a quart of it and used it with my oil change two month ago, and my oil still looks like new. The engine idles quiet and I feel more torque. The oil even leaves a nice film on the dipstick. My motor has 245,000 km (153,125 miles) on it and sounds good. It’s still early too tell if it’s worth the $12 CDN. but so far I do see improvements. Do you guys and gals use any other additives.

I used to use Lucas in my old Ramblers. Love the stuff!

What store did you get it from?

Ahon. Their parts prices are good as well. I can’t find the number right now. If you need it I’ll find it for you.

That would be great, but I highly doubt I will find that brand here in Quebec. Sometimes, it just sucks when Ontario has everything:p

Thanks man!

i used it 50 /50 in my tranny with conventional 10w30 oil… man is it smooth… took a awhile for me to really feel the smoothness. i guess it took a couple days before all the oil lubed up everytthing… but man shifts are sooo smooth… not that i had grinding gears. i mean i cant say it took away grinds, but the notchiness is def. gone… love it! im gonna try a 25% or so mixture in my engine too… dont think i really need it that much in the motor but just wanna see.

i know im a little late on this… but i used it in my car

didnt notice any real advantages or anything to it

still blows about the same amount of oil past… maybe a little more during hard acceleration

but ive heard that might be because its fresher oil and it dont have as much time on it to make it not as smooth and it leaks thru easier… and as i put more miles on it the smoke is getting less except at cold startup

Ive tryed the injector cleaner and its just terrific. Havent tryed the oil but my buddy gives me free samples cuz he owns a shop says lucus oil are great and royal purple synthetic oil is better than mobil1

yea… the injector cleaner works best out of all ive tried… even compared to $10 cleaners

i know someone who used royal purple ever since new on a brand new f150

he put about 45,000miles/year for 2 years… than it started to get a rod knock… i dont know if it was a defective part or because the oil is so thin
