I just bought some 16X7’s from my friend, and when I put them on the lug nuts only fit on half way. Do I need to buy new hubs? My friend thinks I just need to buy longer studs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
what rims are they?

yea, same thing happened to me, go to your nearest wheel shop and pick up some tuner lugs (skinnier than the stock ones)
Ask Turboteg1.8 what can happen when you install longer wheel studs. He crashed last Saturday because the longer studs all broke and his wheel flew off. We had his car towed to MDanniel22’s house and I had to go to a salvage yard and get him a new hub, and loan him a set of steelys so he could get home to Ft. Myers, FL. You are better off getting the correct rims.

you probably need thinner lugs(tuner style) depending on what kind of wheel it is. also are you using your stock lugs or your friends? cuz if your using your stock ones, chances are they won’t go in all the way cuz their too big, but if you bought the rims from your friend along with the lugs that he used, then it should go on all the way. and if you are using your friends lugs, check to make sure their 12x1.5 size.
I was using the stock lugs. So, I guess getting longer studs is a bad call. I’ll see if I can get the other ones from my friend. Thanks guys.
